After an imaginary trip in Vietnam, i'm back with a new crappy bricolage. A dan-bao vinyl record, i mean this is not recordings of dan-bao but a new genaration of that. For now i 'm in exploration and this is not the traditional repertory.....Dan-bao vinyl record and tapes.

Chronicled by DjP. Booyah !

(translation by Anton Mobin)

"What is the reach of this mission, if not to go back the future on itself and create its own past? " The Time Patrol,  Poul Anderson in 1960.

If I told you that the turntable is a machine that allows you to replay fragments of past, to bring together two epochs temporally distant, creating as well kind of temporal differences. Would you say we swim in full Science Fiction?
The  "ring" series  (for vinyl records, turntable (double arms) & feet samplers) is a construction set, of progression and continuity. Between manipulating sound and musical fragments is built an anachronistic frame. We must keep in mind this image of a long-playing record spiral in micro-galaxy, that of the loop in the time space & a landscape composed of strata (+ / - rhythmic). Superposition, chance, luck, accident, space slide, sound cliche, epic scratch, and dirty beats on appointment.

DMC, live at Plateforme, Paris, juin 2012.
